Dilution Ratios
Understanding dilution ratios:
A dilution solution contains solute (or stock solution) and a solvent (called diluent). These two components proportionally combine to create a dilution.
Example dilution of 10:1 where a 20 litre spraying device is being used:
Diluting Actiwash Domestic at 10:1
10 parts water, 1 part Actiwash
Working it out…
10 + 1 = 11
20 ÷ 11 = 1.818
= 1.818 litres of Actiwash (concentrate) for a total volume of 20 litres at 10:1.
The amount of concentrate chemical required will vary depending on the ratio used, and the size of container.
